On April 3rd, Linda A. Gerald passed away after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.
If you were fortunate enough to know Linda—affectionately called Lulu—you truly were one of the lucky ones. Her beauty, her infectious laugh, her sharp wit, and her generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Linda was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, the cherished youngest sibling, a beloved aunt, and a fiercely loyal friend. She lived her life with faith, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Though her illness eventually forced her to step away from work, it was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. Aside from being a mother, working was her greatest passion. From the early 1990s, Linda dedicated her career to hospital administration across the D.C. metropolitan area. Her work in healthcare brought her immense joy, and her compassion for patients made every day meaningful. Even in her toughest moments, she showed up with pride and a smile, determined to serve others.
Linda touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by many. She was loved by so many. There will never be another like her.
