Kelvin E Sellman

Kelvin Eugene Sellman, Sr. affectionately known as Oodie, departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2025. A native of Washington, DC, he was born to the late John and Mary Sellman on January 10, 1974. Oodie was educated in the local area and obtained his high school diploma from Frederick Douglas High School. 

Kelvin was married to the late Kokeeta Edwards (Sellman) and from that union they had a son, Kelvin E. Sellman, Jr. He was also the devoted husband of the late Rashell Sellman and from that union they too had a son, Kevin Sellman. 

Kelvin gave his life to Christ on May 4, 2025. Oodie greatly loved his family, taking pride in spoiling his beloved grandson.

Left to cherish his precious memory are his daughter, Tiaira; sons Kelvin and Kevin; grandson, Akeelis; brothers, Tyrone, John (Natalie) an R.L.; 21 nieces and nephews; best friend, Derek; and a host of loving extended family members and friends. 

Preceding him in death are his parents, John and Mary; his soul mate, Rashell; and his brothers, Milton and Daniel.
